LEGO Saturn V Rocket project

The Saturn V is the biggest, baddest heavy lift rocket ever launched at the moment, however the one that is being currently tested to take humans to Mars will dwarf that. until that happens I would still like a LEGO version of the iconic rocked and a LEGO Ideas campaign hopes to commemorate the Apollo-era rocket with a three stage, separable rocket with a lunar command module inside. We only hope the real thing comes to fruition, because this concept is amazing.

Since this is on LEGO Ideas, the project needs to garner the user votes to become a reality. The plan calls for 1179 bricks to create a three-and-a-half foot scale model rocket, based specifically on the Apollo 11 mission. Every single stage is there, whether the lander, the command module, or the adapter panels, one of which may be the object headed toward Earth right now. There are also two minifigs that would come with it, though neither would fit in the rocket and are mostly for show. At the moment it is over half way to getting into the review stage and you can help make it happen by voting for it today via LEGO Ideas.
