Classic Roald Dahl characters recreated with LEGO bricks

A collaboration between the Roald Dahl Literary Estate and professional LEGO builders Bright Bricks has seen models installed up and down the UK.

The LEGO builds of the memorable fictional characters have been commissioned to celebrate Roald Dahl Day, the birthday of the enduring children’s author.

Licensing.biz reports the locations of the LEGO brick built Roald Dahl characters:

Willy Wonka’s successor, Charlie will be found at Manchester Central Library; Anarchic inventor, George will be sited at Nottingham Station; the endearing rule-breaker, Matilda will be at home in The Cambridge Theatre; adventurous James will be holding the fort at Cardiff Castle and brave Sophie from The BFG will be at The Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have such an exciting partnership and we can’t wait for our fans to be able to visit and see these wonderful heroes brought to life in LEGO,” commented Stephanie Griggs, licensing & design director at the Roald Dahl Literary Estate.

Each build is based on one of Quentin Blake’s famous illustrations.
