Update Mariah Carey to lend her voice to Batman Movie

Updated: Seems lines were blurred when news leaked earlier regarding Mariah Carey and the upcoming Batman movie, she will be voicing Gothams mayor it turns out and not commissioner Gordon as news outlets in the States had us to believe….

Original article: Mariah Carey is up for the role of Commissioner Gordon in The LEGO Batman Movie, according to Deadline.

Carey joins a voice cast that includes Ralph Fiennes (Alfred the Butler), Will Arnett (Batman), Michael Cera (Robin), Rosario Dawson (Batgirl) and Zach Galifianakis (The Joker).

It’s unclear if Carey’s singing talents will come into play as part of the role. I’m a little shocked by this news :-/
