Each morning leading up to Christmas day, Brick Fanatics is cracking open all three official LEGO advent calendars to see what goodies are found within

Christmas is approaching and to celebrate the festive season, Brick Fanatics is opening up the LEGO advent calendars each day before sharing our thoughts on what is found behind the doors. Feel free to join us and share your own comments when opening up those advent calendar doors – whether you opted for Star Wars, City or Friends. You can do so on FacebookTwitter or underneath this very feature.

75184 Star Wars: Imperial Officer

Of all the figures we have received so far, this is my favourite. Imperial officers are surprisingly hard to get considering how many sets have been released in through the years. Every chance to acquire one should be taken immediately. This one is especially delightful due to the high level of detail, printing on the cap and somewhat rare head.

60155 City: RC helicopter

Of all the oversized killer RC vehicles we have opened up this year, today’s must be the most lethal to minifigures. With the planes, one needed only to worry about being run into, but here decapitation is a veritable certainty. The somewhat odd Coast Guard motif continues with what is a fairly well executed model, but its murderous possibilities are hard to overlook.

41326 Friends: Cat house

Yesterday’s cat has figured out a way to climb up to her perch which arrives in today’s model. Thankfully this one is a slight improvement from the previous pet houses. That is not due to better construction, but becauseit is comprised of multiple unique pieces. These include the textured round brick, brown modified plate with bar and the tan window arch.
