LEGO theme combos in Blocks magazine

The current issue of the monthly LEGO publication Blocks includes a feature that takes two LEGO themes and puts them together – from Friends TIE Fighters to Scooby Doo Castle outposts, it shows the ingenuity of AFOLs in taking two very different ideas and bringing them together for something fun. The magazine has shared this Elves Millennium Falcon mash-up, built by Emma Farm, that couldn’t be squeezed into the pages of the magazine.

‘I really like the MicroFighters series and 75030 Millennium Falcon is one of my favourites,’ Emma explains. ‘With the challenge of converting a set, I decided that the key word here is recognition. So, what theme is easy to recognise when rebuilt into a Millennium Falcon?’

Thankfully the Falcon’s shape is unmistakable. ‘Elves has a wonderful palette of colours. Dark purple, magenta, trans-dark pink, trans-light blue… using those colours, following the shape of the official set, I built this Elvish Millennium Falcon.’

As well as the Variations build series, the latest issue of Blocks includes an in-depth look at the Disney Castle, an interview with the BIONICLE design team and incredible mods to turn the Assault on Hoth into the build it should have been.
