New attractions announced for LEGOLAND California Resort in 2018

The LEGOLAND California Resort is bringing two new attraction to the theme park in 2018, LEGO City Deep Sea Adventure and a new NINJAGO 4D movie.

General Manager Peter Ronchetti hosted a press conference to share a look at what the LEGOLAND California Resort has coming up next year. The LEGOLAND Castle Hotel was already announced as coming to the US LEGOLAND, which will offer the same experience that launched at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort earlier this year.

LEGO NINJAGO will get a new 4D movie experience, ‘Master of the 4th Dimension’, featuring the same animation design and style as the TV series. This will likely roll out to LEGOLAND theme parks and LEGOLAND Discovery Centre attractions around the world.

LEGO City Deep Sea Adventure will take guests on a submarine voyage to see an array of marine life, presumably using the same technology as Atlantis: Submarine Voyage, the attraction that can be found at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort and LEGOLAND Billund. The concept art suggests that the submarines have had a redesign to fit in with the City theme.

The official press release shares more about the LEGO City Deep Sea Adventure:

The ride will open in summer of 2018 and takes guests on a submarine ride looking for lost treasure on a sunken LEGO shipwreck. Among the real sea animals are bright LEGO octopi, marine tropical fish and LEGO scuba divers. Touchscreens at each porthole inside the sub are used by guests to help the LEGO minifigure dive team identify gems, pearls, LEGO gold coins and more throughout the journey. Up to 12 guests will board one of eight submarines that are designed after the LEGO City Deep Sea Adventure line of toys.

Bookings for the LEGOLAND Castle Hotel will open in September.
