Nick’s MOC Corner – 28/2

When I first saw the Woodoo Ball “1001” Technic ball joint with black eye with pupil pattern part number 15926 Better known to you and me as a Mixels eyeball I just knew I was going to have some fun with this great part, it first appeared back in 2014 in the first wave of Mixels Series and has appeared in each series ever since it’s a great part for adding “life” to a build and I’ve used it in many times since.

I think I may have watched Little Shop Of Horrors or eaten too much cheese the night I dreamt up “Nigel The Fun Loving Pot Plant” saying that not only does he look prettier than Audrey he’s much better tempered as well. Taking the lower part of the series 10 Medusa as my starting point I added a couple of plant stems and some bamboo plants to each side I’d just recently bought the grass stem so thought I’d use them but hit a problem of how to attach the woodoo ball to the stem, keeping up the plant theme I used a carrot top and pushed thought the stem  and into the eyeball. The picture below should make more sense than my ramblings.

“Feed Me” was my first build with Nigel He’d arrived early doors and was a somewhat peckish.

FeedMe                                                                                                   (Really happy how this shot turned out It’s simple but the actions tell the story)

Of course not knowing meal times and human etiquette he was a little demanding and in the end “just had to help himself”.

It's Ok

(Just had to use these custom printed items to add that fun element Every one loves Reddy Brick don’t they ?)

Now happy and full Nigel was on the look out for love and things happened rather quickly ! Before he knew it Nigel was under the leaf.

Wedding                                                               (She’s slightly shorter than Nigel But it was love at first sight once their eyes had finally made contact ! )

But he was yet to meet the Mother In Law and you know what they say about mother in laws ! I tried to make her a little scary like my mother in law but also cuddly at the same time Looking back she is a little off the wall and a little spiky Like I said I tried to make her like my mother in law.

The Motherinlaw                                                                Mother’s base is from a Atlantis Squid Warrior (Part Number 87749)

Now these guys don’t mess about when it comes to babies or should I say saplings and before he knew it Nigel was father to four healthy little budlings.

babies                                                                (As you can see the buds are simple stems Woodoo ball and carrot top)

He celebrated his first fathers day last year with a gift of More Grow and a special fungus cake.

Nigel Fathers Day                                                                (Not sure were Bud number five came from ?!)

Writing this and looking back has inspired me to dust Nigel and Co off and take them on a few new adventures so if any of you have an ideas of what you would like to see next please let me know in the comments and I’ll give it a go No mature please this is a family site.

Until Next Time

Happy Building and “Play Well”

Hi I’m Nick also known as Minifignick I love anything and everything about Lego As I child I collected the Space theme, which at the age of 11 I stupidly sold the lot to fund “more grown up things” whatever they were I can’t remember. That then was the start of my “dark age” which lasted up until a visit to Legoland with my then 5 year old son. 9 years later I’m still loving the brick and create anything from medieval banqueting halls to 1950’s Record Stores.
