Official LEGO Advent Calendars – December 6

Every day until December 24, Brick Fanatics takes a look at the gifts in the LEGO CITY, LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Friends Advent Calendars for 2016

The open socket joint from yesterday’s snowmobile today finds its companion, a plow. While I would have killed to have this set up, back on those frigid school mornings when I had to shovel my car out to make it to classas a stand alone model it is the very definition of unexciting.

However, when joined with the snowmobile from yesterday it is much improved.

The new mouse element, here repurposed as a hamster, is paired with a small but effective home complete with water bottle and veggie treat. This is the best build found in the Friends advent calendar so far.

This Snowtrooper is the latest version, and of course a troop builder is always welcome. Snowtroopers are no longer as uncommon as they once were, having come in a number of sets this year. If any Imperial trooper is appropriate in advent calendar though, it is this one.

Each day, we will compare the three builds and pick the best.

The LEGO Friends Advent Calendar is the most successful of today’s builds. The somewhat rare furry friend and neat little build make it a nice treat.

The scoreboard

CITY: 1

FRIENDS: 1

STAR WARS: 4

When I was 3 years old my dad bought home 6659 TV Camera Crew as a gift — he had no idea what he had just unleashed. Three decades and no dark age later, I am still going strong. My love of LEGO led me to a career in Civil Engineering and I am now raising three budding LEGO lovers with my lovely wife who is, bless her, a huge supporter of my brick addiction. When not writing for Brick Fanatics or fulfilling my duties as the U.S. Editor of Blocks Magazine I enjoy collecting, MOCing, exhibiting, as well as running, climbing and home improvement.
