Official LEGO Advent Calendars – December 15

Every day until December 24, Brick Fanatics takes a look at the gifts in the LEGO CITY, LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Friends Advent Calendars for 2016

advent-105

This is an odd little build, seeming to be a section of a building – but with no context to judge what that building is, it is difficult to see how to use this counter type build,

This shows a great parts usage to create a camera tri (quad?) pod, but a meager four parts seem rather miserly.

advent-106

This model of an iconic ship seems to have slight odd proportions. It’s a little too skinny, especially at the hinge – that said, it is clearly the Tantive IV and those six clip pieces in white are handy.

Each day, we will compare the three builds and pick the best.

Odd proportions, an indeterminate structure and a four piece model are definitely not going to make this the finest door of this year’s advent calendars. I am going to award the prize to Star Wars for at least having some rare and useful pieces.

The scoreboard

CITY: 5

FRIENDS: 3

STAR WARS: 7
