Official LEGO Advent Calendars – December 17

Every day until December 24, Brick Fanatics takes a look at the gifts in the LEGO CITY, LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Friends Advent Calendars for 2016

Now this is what a Christmas Market stall is supposed to look like. Reminiscent of the huts and other structures that have graced the various Winter Village sets over the last six years, this model would look right at home among them.

It makes the previous structure look even more out of place.

Gifts are a mainstay of Christmas sets no matter what theme they hail from. Few have ever been as excellent as these thanks to the printed inverted tile pieces. While the lids are a bit loose, the ability to actually pack and unwrap a present not only make these models the perfect companion to yesterday’s wrapping table, but excellent offerings themselves.

I can tell its meant to be a Gonk Droid, but what is with these colours? They say Steampunk to me as opposed to holiday. Perhaps it is not based on the best known iteration of the droid.

Each day, we will compare the three builds and pick the best.

Initially it was tricky to decide between the presents and the stall, but after putting the gifts with the wrapping table they are going to take home the prize as the synergy is great.
