The 10 most expensive LEGO sets of all time – November 2022
10307 Eiffel Tower doesn’t come cheap – but where does the latest LEGO Icons landmark rank among the most expensive sets of all time?
If it feels like we only just updated our regular rundown of the most expensive LEGO sets ever released, it’s because we did, following last month’s reveal of 76210 Hulkbuster. But we’re in mega release season now, when stupidly expensive LEGO sets pummel our bank accounts within weeks of one another, and that means it’s already time to update this list yet again.
The culprit this month is 10307 Eiffel Tower, an astonishingly ambitious recreation of the iconic Parisian structure that also happens to be the tallest LEGO set ever. Does that make it the most expensive, too? Scroll down to find out.
10 – 71043 Hogwarts Castle
Theme: Harry Potter Price: £409.99 / $469.99 / €469.99 Pieces: 6,020 Available: Now
The 10th-most expensive LEGO set of all time – at least following September’s price rises – is 71043 Hogwarts Castle. You’ll need to hand over £409.99 to the LEGO Group to bring home this massive microscale model, which retails for the same price as the retired 75159 Death Star. The magical school of witchcraft and wizardry has more bricks, though, so it just trumps that grey space ball in our books.
9 – 76405 Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition
Theme: Harry Potter Price: £429.99 / $499.99 / €499.99 Pieces: 5,129 Available: Now
Is one exorbitantly expensive LEGO Harry Potter set not enough for you? Okay – how about two? 76405 Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition tops the rest of the theme’s flagship sets in price, if not piece count, weighing in at an eye-watering £429.99 in the UK. For your money, you’ll get one of the longest LEGO sets of all time, with a train that’s way too big for regular LEGO rails – and has countered by building its own.
8 – 76210 Hulkbuster
Theme: Marvel Price: £474.99 / $549.99 / €549.99 Pieces: 4,049 Available: Now
What’s big, dark red, and doesn’t look all that much like a Hulkbuster? Why, it’s 76210 Hulkbuster. Suffering slightly from its possibly misguided desire to fit 76206 Iron Man Figure inside, the reception to this wallet-busting LEGO Marvel set hasn’t been terrific – and much of that is due to its not-very-heroic price of £474.99, for just 4,049 pieces.
7 – 10276 Colosseum
Theme: LEGO Icons Price: £474.99 / $549.99 / €549.99 Pieces: 9,036 Available: Now
The last LEGO Icons landmark was also briefly the biggest LEGO set of all time (by piece count), but has since been surpassed by 10294 Titanic, 31203 World Map and now 10307 Eiffel Tower. But fourth place is still pretty good, and seventh place on this list isn’t too shabby either. In return, you’re getting a build that’s maybe not the most exciting you’ll ever undertake, but the result is really something else.
6 – 75331 The Razor Crest
Theme: LEGO Icons Price: £519.99 / $599.99 / €599.99 Pieces: 6,187 Available: Now
If the absence of LEGO Star Wars on this list so far has had you scratching your head, don’t worry: we’ll be paying an extended visit to a galaxy far, far away across the rest of it. Things kick off with 75331 The Razor Crest, the newest addition to the Ultimate Collector Series, which retails for a considerable bounty of £519.99 in the UK. How much Beskar do you reckon that could buy you?
5 – 10307 Eiffel Tower
Theme: LEGO Icons Price: £554.99 / $629.99 / €629.99 Pieces: 10,001 Available: November 25
While most of us expected 10307 Eiffel Tower to come in at the same price as 10294 Titanic’s current RRP – that’s post-price increase in September – it’s actually going to cost the same as the ship originally launched for in 2021. Hard to say what that means for LEGO long-term, but for now, take solace in this enormous – and enormously-grey – landmark retailing for ‘only’ £554.99.
4 – 10294 Titanic
Theme: LEGO Icons Price: £589.99 / $679.99 / €679.99 Pieces: 9,090 Available: Now
What were we just saying about 10294 Titanic? Oh yeah, it’s more expensive now. Originally available last year for £554.99, the LEGO Group has since bumped it up to £589.99. Maybe you can pretend you’re buying a first class ticket now? Not that anyone buying a bargain basement ticket on the cruise liner would have been able to afford the LEGO model anyway. Probably.
3 – 75252 Imperial Star Destroyer
Theme: Star Wars Price: £614.99 / $699.99 / €699.99 Pieces: 4,784 Available: Now
Buckle up: following that slight detour into a more colourful plane of existence, we’re firmly back into grey Star Wars territory for the rest of this list. The retiring 75252 Imperial Star Destroyer, which has already sold out at LEGO.com, debuted in 2019 for £649.99, but was then readjusted to £614.99 midway through production. That’s still a hefty chunk of change for a triangle.
2 – 75313 AT-AT
Theme: Star Wars Price: £734.99 / $849.99 / €849.99 Pieces: 6,785 Available: Now
Is this mechanical four-legged friend better than an actual dog? Let’s weigh it up. Pro: you don’t need to take it for walks. Con: building LEGO is not great exercise. Pro: you don’t need to clean up after it. Con: you do need to find somewhere to put it. Pro: it’s maybe less expensive than a lifetime of vet bills. Con: it’s still £734.99 upfront…
1 – 75192 Millennium Falcon
Theme: Star Wars Price: £734.99 / $849.99 / €849.99 Pieces: 7,541 Available: Now
Also coming in at that top-tier LEGO price point, and therefore tying with 75313 AT-AT for the most expensive set of all time, is 75192 Millennium Falcon. We’ve given it first place for besting the walker’s piece count, but either of these sets will give you the ultimate LEGO experience that can only be achieved through spending lots and lots of money.

- I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
