20% off LEGO Architecture 21056 Taj Mahal at John Lewis

A major release in the LEGO Architecture line is now enjoying a discount on the John Lewis website.

John Lewis often offers discounts on a range of LEGO products. Now you can get a significant price reduction on 21056 Taj Mahal, one of the more ambitious LEGO Architecture releases. Its price has been brought down to £83.99 – a saving of 20% on its usual price of £104.99.

The Taj Mahal was commissioned back in 1632, although construction work on it actually took place over the following two decades. The structure is a mausoleum for Mughal emperor Shah Jahan and his wife Mumtaz Mahal; nowadays, it would cost around $1 billion to construct. Approximately six million people travel to see it every year.

This LEGO version is one of several, although it’s considerably smaller than previous incarnations. Even so, it’s immediately recognisable; the LEGO set captures its main dome, smaller minarets and the crypt itself, as well as several other fine architectural details The finished model is 20cm high and has a footprint of 23 square cm.
