LEGO Ideas 21336 The Office is nearly identical to the original project

The final design of 21336 The Office is almost the same as the original LEGO Ideas project, but with two major differences in the build.

Pitched multiple times by Lego The Office before being made into a real LEGO model, the most recent iteration of The Office on LEGO Ideas that did end up being picked featured a full model for the layout of the Dunder Mifflin office, as you might have guessed by the name. However, you might have spotted one big difference between the original design and 21336 The Office.

While the project features the rightmost wall, 21336 The Office features the leftmost wall against the reception desk, leaving one of the separate rooms open on one side too. The reason for this change could be to make it easier to access that room as in the submission, the dividing walls could be removed to access the interiors.

In 21336 The Office though, Micheal Scott’s office can slide out to display separately or pose minifigures while the conference room remains static since it’s already open on one side.

Other than these two major changes and general differences in the overall build, there isn’t much change between the project and final product for 21336 The Office, though two minifigures have been omitted in Andy and Erin.

Whether you want a recreation of the American workplace or are a fan of the show, you can find 21336 The Office in stores and online from October 1 for £104.99 / $119.99 / €119.99 with 1,164 pieces and 15 minifigures.
