LEGO 10295 Porsche 911 gets its own showroom

Visiting a real-life Porsche showroom and taking home a brand new 911 is a pipe dream for most of us, but you can now recreate the experience using 10295 Porsche 911.

That’s exactly what the LEGO Group has done in its latest batch of promo pics of the newest 18+ set, which was officially announced yesterday. The 2-in-1 model can be built into either a Turbo coupe or Targa convertible, and both of those variants are shown off in this gallery.

Keen-eyed fans will also spot some familiar artwork adorning the walls, in the form of four classic Porsche ads – all of which will be included as collectible prints for early adopters of 10295 Porsche 911 when it goes on sale on February 16.

Perhaps the best part of this miniature showroom, though, is that it effectively makes 10295 Porsche 911 look almost life-size in its decidedly non-LEGO environment. And it’s giving us plenty of ideas for displaying our own copy…

10295 Porsche 911 will launch at LEGO.com on February 16 for VIP members, before a wider release (including in LEGO Stores, where they’re open) on March 1. You can find out more about the set, including its price and piece count, in the official announcement.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
