LEGO VIDIYO’s L.L.A.M.A even has his own tie-in clothing range

A fashion brand in New Jersey has launched a new clothing range for LEGO VIDIYO’s DJ and producer character L.L.A.M.A.

It’s not yet clear whether Anwar Carrots’ merch is officially licensed by the LEGO Group and Universal Music Group, but the official LEGO Twitter account has retweeted the collection, and the timing of the launch suggests it was indeed planned in advance with both parties.

The new items are part of the ‘Carrots by Anwar Carrots’ menswear range, and include two different t-shirts and a yellow sweatshirt. One of the designs features the minifigure included in 43105 Party Llama BeatBox over the ‘Carrots’ logo, while the other two are a little more subtle in referencing the human L.L.A.M.A character.

Between Levi’s, Adidas and HYPE, the LEGO Group has leaned heavily into clothing over the past year, and LEGO VIDIYO’s marketing campaign has kicked off proper today with L.L.A.M.A’s new single, so VIDIYO-inspired clothing almost seemed like a foregone conclusion. It looks like a pretty niche collaboration, though, with only menswear available at the moment.

You can check out the entire L.L.A.M.A-inspired range over at the Carrots website. The tees will set you back $40 apiece, while the long-sleeved sweater rings in at $45, and that’s all we’ll say about the prices.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
