LEGOLAND Windsor’s latest MYTHICA model is sure to be a hoot

LEGOLAND Windsor Resort will soon expand with a new land dedicated to mythical creatures, with the latest model combining two ferocious predators.

By now, we’ve seen plenty of models that will be calling the new MYTHICA expansion their home at the resort, including a blooming Rhino, a humongous Hydra and a four-headed Chimera.

However, we’re only just halfway through the reveals, as 14 models will make up the wide array of mythical beasts in the land, with one being designed by a fan. The latest was again revealed on LEGOLAND Windsor’s Twitter account and presents the Owl Leopard.

Unlike the rest of the reveals, four images were provided showing the build, meaning we can get a proper look at all 15,090 pieces of it. The LEGOLAND Windsor model designers worked over 64 hours to create the Owl Leopard, with the final design blended features of an owl and a leopard, not surprising considering the name.

The obvious name aside, the creature looks just as impressive as the rest of the models, with a good amount of colour and some genuine thought clearly put into the creation. It’s been interesting to see how the LEGOLAND Windsor designers have been imagining these mythical creatures so far, and with seven more to go, including the contest-winner, we can’t help but wonder if this might be leading up to a larger reveal.

We’ll keep you updated on the latest LEGOLAND Windsor Mythica news as this expansion is set to open later this year with an attraction that will be making its UK debut. In the meantime, be sure to finish off any entries for the contest, as it will be closing tomorrow.
