LEGO NINJAGO 71738 Zane’s Titan Mech Battle prototypes on display at LEGO House
Prototype models and concept artwork of LEGO NINJAGO 71738 Zane’s Titan Mech Battle are currently on display at the LEGO House in Billund.
The set’s designer Niek van Slagmaat tweeted images of the installation, which sits just outside the attraction’s LEGO Store. The LEGO House has been closed for some time due to the coronavirus pandemic, but recently re-opened the doors to its LEGO Store under reduced trading hours.
Niek has already given us a glimpse at some of his sketch models for the gleaming white mech through his Twitter account, but this is the first opportunity any of us have had to see them in person.
Not that many of us will be able to actually head to the LEGO House any time soon, of course – but here’s hoping the display is still around by the time international travel restrictions are lifted. (And if you’re already in Billund, take advantage while you can.)
For now, we’ll just have to console ourselves with the finished set, which is currently available at LEGO.com as part of this year’s NINJAGO Legacy range. You can check out our review of the impressive model right here, or find out more about the original set that inspired it here.

- I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
