LEGO 40449 Easter Bunny’s Carrot House GWP review

Available with purchases of £60 / $60 / €60 at LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores comes the very colourful and charming 40449 Easter Bunny’s Carrot House.

Purchases at LEGO.com or in LEGO Stores of £60 / $60 / €60 from March 15 through to and including April 5 – or whilst stocks last – will receive a free copy of this 232-piece Easter-themed LEGO set.

Maybe we’ve been getting it wrong all these years, keeping our pet rabbits in hutches. If 40449 Easter Bunny’s Carrot House is anything to go by, they’d live their best life in a carrot-inspired house complete with bright orange walls, green shoots at the top (for the chimney?), a door, windows and some neat interior design. Or maybe it’s a giant hollowed-out carrot. But does that mean that the rabbit eats his house and then regrows it, or does he move on to another carrot? But then that’s a post box – are we back in Fabuland?

Sometimes it’s best not to ask too many questions around the more bizarre and fun gifts-with-purchase that the LEGO Group produces, and just enjoy such cartoonish creations for what they are. 40449 Easter Bunny’s Carrot House very much falls into that category, giving the Easter holiday mascot a new look and humble abode that makes for a charming Easter-themed set.

It’s been a while since building a set with this much orange, but those bright colours really help to accentuate the more ridiculous style and nature of the model as a whole, whilst a decent selection of stickers add a level of detail you wouldn’t actually expect of a gift-with-purchase.

There’s enough fun and enjoyment in putting together 40449 Easter Bunny’s Carrot House and having it on display around the Easter holiday to make it a worthy addition to the Easter-themed gifts-with-purchase that come out each year. It’s very easy to spend £60 at LEGO.com and in LEGO stores too, so this makes for a nice bonus that would likely survive being parted out for other builds – unless you’re particularly after orange bricks.

40449 Easter Bunny’s Carrot House is available as a free gift with purchases of £60 / $60 / €60 at LEGO.com and in LEGO stores from March 15 to April 5, or whilst stocks last.
