How LEGOLAND Windsor is preparing to reopen after lockdown

LEGOLAND Windsor will soon reopen to the public and while the resort has been closed the model makers have been hard at work installing new builds, as well as health and safety measures across the park.

After being closed for most of the last year, the team at LEGOLAND Windsor are preparing the park to welcome guests again. Visitors to the resort will now be able to see several new models scattered across LEGOLAND, made up of a total of 1.2 million bricks. However, there’s plenty you need to know before you go back.

Guests attending the theme park from when it reopens on April 12 will have a few new guidelines to follow, including the wearing of a facemask for anyone over 11 years old around the park and on rides, but not water rides, as well as following social distancing and one-way systems around the resort.

These changes are being implemented in accordance with UK government guidelines and indoor rides, hotels and restaurants will remain closed until May 17. Instead, restaurants will offer outdoor seating and take away services.

Members of the LEGOLAND Windsor team will also be wearing protective face coverings for the safety of themselves and others, and there are even more health and safety practices to be aware of before attending. You’ll also need to pre-book in advance if you plan on visiting the park anytime soon, as daily capacity is limited. You can find out more on the LEGOLAND Windsor website

These new changes show how those at LEGOLAND are adapting to safer business practices amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic, while still introducing new experiences in time for the 25th anniversary of the resort, including a new expansion named MYTHICA.
