LEGO CITY summer 2021 sets include several new moulded animals

Some of the summer sets for LEGO CITY have been revealed, showcasing the theme’s animal rescue subtheme including the return of the LEGO Elephant.

It’s safari so good with LEGO CITY this summer as Italian retailer Terminal Video Italia has revealed three models launching later this year, as well as their possible release date.

The smallest of the range is still an enticing buy thanks to its inclusion of the steering system introduced earlier this year and the monkey elements. A small side build of a tree is included as well as one for a drone and the main ATV model with one minifigure.

Moving on to the larger offerings there is at least one 4+ set as part of this upcoming wave which includes a new character for the theme and an animal never-seen-before in a single LEGO piece. Previous LEGO CITY sets have introduced a lioness, but now the ‘mane’ attraction is here in a new set, as well as a younger cub.

The biggest of the revealed models also includes a new animal piece, for a creature last seen in the older Adventurers theme. The Elephant is back in LEGO form alongside a helicopter, crocodile and a few natural builds to add to the terrain. All the sets are listed as releasing July 1 but there has been no confirmation from the LEGO Group yet.
