Every villain in Spider-Man: No Way home with a LEGO Marvel minifigure

The latest trailer for Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: No Way Home has confirmed the return of multiple villains, including a few who have minifigures.

The LEGO Group’s partnership with Marvel and the many superhero movies that have been produced under the franchises banner date so far back that the most recent trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home might feature familiar faces for anyone who knows the web-slingers movies or the sets they inspired. Here’s who we found.

For this list, we’ll be focusing on the most recent minifigure of the character, no matter the source material, as well as any specific iterations of them that are directly based on their cinematic counterparts as seen in Spider-Man: No Way Home or other films.

Green Goblin

The iconic Green Goblin from the first of the Tobey Maguire trilogy of Spider-Man movies is back in December with the classic armoured suit returning.

With such a unique design, the best option to recreate this character is the original minifigure of the Green Goblin from 4851 Spider-Man and Green Goblin – The origins and 4852 Spider-Man vs. Green Goblin – The Final Showdown from 2003. Alternatively, the character also has a comic-inspired appearance in LEGO Marvel 76178 Daily Bugle and 76175 Attack on the Spider Lair.

Sandman

While we don’t see the full outfit of Sandman, a giant face made of sand, as well as a storm of swirling particles) can be seen towards the end of the trailer, confirming that a version of the character is featured in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

While not confirmed to be him, Sandman does appear in the third film in the Tobey Maguire trilogy. Unfortunately, the LEGO Group only covered the first two films in the series with models, though Sandman is in a similar form in the recent 76178 Daily Bugle and 76172 Spider-Man and Sandman Showdown.

Doctor Octopus

As the first villain from a previous movie to be confirmed for Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Octopus is being transported from the world of Tobey Maguire’s series of Spider-Man films too, with Alfred Molina returning to play him.

The minifigure for this cinematic version appeared in 4854 Doc Ock’s Bank Robbery, 4855 Spider-Man’s Train Rescue and 4856 Doc Ock’s Hideout, thought the latest version of the character is widely available in 76178 Daily Bugle and 76174 Spider-Man’s Monster Truck vs. Mysterio too.

Electro

Electro has had comparatively fewer minifigures than other Spider-Man Villains. In the trailer, what appears to be Jaimie Foxx’s version of the character from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 returns in a new costume, closely resembling the classic look of Electro with the pointed mask.

While a polybag for the movie did release with 5002125 Electro in 2014, it doesn’t match the updated design making it about as accurate as the only other Electro minifigure from 76014 Spider-Trike vs. Electro. Notably, a DUPLO figure for the classic costume was released in 10893 Spider-Man vs. Electro for those that might be open to mixing the two systems of bricks.

Who’s missing?

Out of the heroes and villains seen in the trailers for Spider-Man: No Way Home, only The Lizard remains to be represented with a minifigure, or another form of brick-built figure.

The character has been absent from Spider-Man sets so far but the version seen in the trailer seems likely to be that from The Amazing Spider-Man, considering that another villain from those movies already appears in the form of Electro. We’ll have to wait and see if anyone else cameos in the film when it releases on December 17, or December 15 in the UK.
