A big change is coming to LEGO Architecture in 2022

The official reveal of LEGO Architecture 21057 Singapore has confirmed that a big change will be coming to the theme’s packaging in 2022.

Following the addition of LEGO Architecture 21057 Singapore to the official online store ahead of its release on January 1, 2022, the first images of the set’s box have been unveiled, showcasing a difference compared to that of previous models.

The box of 21057 Singapore features a pair of push tabs, marking the first time that the feature has been included on a LEGO Architecture box instead of the usual lift-away style. This isn’t the only recent change though as Earlier in 2021, the boxes of Architecture embraced the LEGO for Adults design with an all-black background and a strip of assorted bricks on the bottom.

Comparing the backs of the packaging for 21056 Taj Mahal and 21057 Singapore, we can see how the images of the Singapore buildings are positioned to not be in the way of the push tabs, avoiding the designs from crossing over.

Whether this change will affect any sets past LEGO Architecture 21057 Singapore is unconfirmed, with only one model for the theme scheduled for 2022. Similarly, 21056 Taj Mahal was the only 2021 build for the theme.

You’ll be able to find 21057 Singapore online and in-store from January 1, 2022, as the largest and most complex of the LEGO Architecture Skylines to date.
