LEGO Ideas Wild West Mine reaches the first 2022 review stage

The latest LEGO Ideas project to pass into the third 2022 review is aiming to recreate a Disney attraction with a wild west mine model.

This build comes from Disney Recreation and is their first submission to the LEGO Ideas platform. It has now reached 10,000 supporters after launching nearly two years ago in March 2020.

As stated in the description of the user’s profile page, the newest 10K club member wants to recreate Disneyland Paris and their initial project echoes that desire by visiting the wild west with a mountain range and train ride design that mirrors the Big Thunder Mountain rollercoaster at the theme park.

A brick-built train with room for two carts of gold loops around the model on a layout of rollercoaster track, with one section suspended by wooden beams over water. Passengers and cargo will pass a collection of shacks over the journey with fabric elements and setting decoration appropriate to the western setting.

The LEGO landscape in the submission includes a small mountain range with two peaks, one significantly taller than the other and a base that includes room for cacti and wildlife to roam in.

This is the third project to pass into the first 2022 LEGO Ideas review phase and we can likely expect to see more added to this list following the closure of the third 2021 round. Here’s every submission in the running for a future set in the latest group so far:

Wild West Mine
The Legendary Concorde
The Forestmen Secret Inn
