LEGO Black Friday 40410 Charles Dickens Tribute review

Free with purchases of £150 or $150 across the LEGO VIP Weekend and Black Friday Weekend, 40410 Charles Dickens Tribute is a delightful promotional set.

The LEGO Group’s double-weekend of promotions sees a VIP Weekend of deals and offers run across November 21 and 22, followed by a four-day weekend from Black Friday to Cyber Monday – November 27 to 30. Each weekend will include a number of promotions exclusive to each – more details on our UK-specific and US-specific Black Friday pages – but available across both is 40410 Charles Dickens Tribute.

Valued at £20.99 / $20.99, this promotional item is being given away with all purchases at LEGO.com of £150 / $150 or more, while stocks last. Capturing a scene from Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, the build is smart, both for how much detail it packs into the one room with entrance, and for the book it is built on top of.

Indeed, that the scene has been built on to a book in such a way elevates the model, both literally and stylistically, and adds a real sense of authenticity and charm to the entire build.

Also included are three minifigures – presumably Ebenezer Scrooge, Tiny Tim and either Scrooge’s nephew Fred, or his underpaid clerk Bob Cratchit.

It’s a remarkably substantial build and great value for being a promotional item. It serves as a fun and interesting display piece, perfect for the festive period to either start or add to a collection of Christmas and holiday-themed LEGO display sets (of which there are many).

Purchases of £150 / $150 or more during VIP Weekend (November 21-22) and Black Friday weekend (November 27-30) will receive a free copy of 40410 Charles Dickens Tribute, while stocks last.

Meanwhile, purchases of £200 / $200 or more during VIP Weekend (November 21-22) receive a free copy of 5006291 2×4 Teal Brick, while stocks last. Read our review of that promotional set here.

40410 Charles Dickens Tribute was provided for review by the LEGO Group.
