LEGO Classic, Creator and DUPLO 2021 polybags revealed

Classic in-house LEGO themes including Creator and DUPLO will be getting new polybags in 2021.

Promobricks has uncovered official images of a huge assortment of new polybag models, all of which are due to arrive in 2021. As is always the case with polybags, their availability will likely vary – some you’ll probably be able to buy outright, while others may appear as promotional sets.

Two LEGO Classic polybags, 30563 Build a Snail and 30564 Build Your Own Monster, will provide multiple ideas for builds with just a handful of pieces. 30563 sees an adorable snail dreaming of new (and faster) ways to get around, while 30563 channels the long-dead Mixels theme with a leafy twist.

Creator is aiming for sheer variety in 2021, meanwhile, in an assortment of polybags reflective of the theme’s creative approach. (It’s in the name!) 30565 Birthday Clown builds a not-at-all-terrifying clown, 30577 Mega Muscle Car evokes Speed Champions with its sleek red ride, and 30578 German Shepherd provides what’s potentially one of the most eclectic combinations of animal builds we’ve seen in a single polybag.

Finally, DUPLO is serving up a charming eight-piece model with 30332 My First Space Rocket. It’s apparently recommended for 18 months old and up, so it could be the perfect gateway set for a kid too young to realise what you’re getting them into.

Promobricks has also found images of LEGO CITY, Speed Champions, Disney, DOTS, Friends, Minecraft, Star Wars, NINJAGO and Technic polybags, all of which will launch in 2021.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
