New LEGO BrickHeadz Pets sets revealed
You’ll soon be able to buy LEGO BrickHeadz of your pets, as the collectable theme is turning its attention to animals in 2021.
Brickset has turned up tiny images of two upcoming BrickHeadz sets, 40440 German Shepherd and 40441 Shorthair Cats. In line with many of the statuette sets before them, both boxes are two-packs. 40440 includes both an adult dog and a puppy, while 40441 packs in an adult cat and kitten.
It’s difficult to make out much detail from the images we have to hand. But the ‘Pets’ logo on each box is very distinctive, and suggests we may see more in this style further down the line. Will that mean different breeds of cats and dogs? Or will the LEGO Group get a little more adventurous in its depiction of domesticated animals?
For instance, we’d love to see a BrickHeadz goldfish, snake or even an iguana, mainly because we have no idea how any of those would work in the theme’s template. If it is possible, though, you can be sure the BrickHeadz team will find a way.
We hopefully won’t have to wait too long to find out what’s next for the theme, anyway. Both of these BrickHeadz sets are expected to launch in early 2021, and their instruction manuals may well provide more clues to future products in the series.

- I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
