First official images of LEGO Creator Space Mining Mech and Tree House

The first official images of March’s two new LEGO Creator 3-in-1 sets have landed online, giving us a better look at 31115 Space Mining Mech and 31116 Safari Wildlife Tree House.

Both sets were initially revealed in a consumer catalogue back in December 2020, but this is the first time we’ve seen official images of the two March releases. They’ve come courtesy of a Bulgarian retailer, which has also provided our first look at brand new Star Wars, NINJAGO and Minecraft sets.

31115 Space Mining Mech follows on from last year’s 31107 Space Rover Explorer, transporting the action to an unidentified (but curiously red) planet, complete with an adorable alien. As it’s a 3-in-1 set, you’ll be able to rebuild it into either a taller bipedal (but completely armless) mech, or a scuttling four-legged bot.

31116 Safari Wildlife Tree House, meanwhile, goes heavy on brick-built animals, with a giraffe, flamingo, lion, crocodile and rooster included depending on which of the three models you assemble. The main Tree House can be rebuilt into either a biplane or catamaran, offering multiple methods for its minifigures to traverse the savannah.

Both Creator 3-in-1 sets will launch in March, joining the five already available as of January 1, including 31111 Cyber Drone and 31112 Wild Lion. You can check out the full list of Creator 2021 sets here.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
