LEGO Seasonal 40463 Easter Bunny officially revealed

The LEGO Group has officially unveiled another seasonal set for 2021, 40463 Easter Bunny – and in doing so, has given us a clue to what we can expect in the year ahead.

This particular furry friend has been in the wild for a while, having first been spotted on the back of the box for 40462 Valentine’s Brown Bear. Like that set, 40463 Easter Bunny includes a brick-built animal atop a rounded base, establishing a format that will surely be followed by the rest of this year’s seasonal sets.

You’ll be able to get your hands on the Easter-themed set from February 1. It’ll retail for $14.99 in the US, and should therefore correspond to 40462 Valentine’s Brown Bear at £13.49 in the UK. With 293 pieces in the box, that sounds like a pretty good deal to us.

Of course, it’s now also got us wondering what other brick-built animals the LEGO Group might be cooking up for the rest of 2021’s holidays. A Halloween bat? A Christmas reindeer? A Fourth of July eagle? The possibilities are, well, not quite endless, but it seems reasonable to expect these seasonal sets to continue in this form over the next 11 months or so.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
