Another LEGO Star Wars AT-ST may be launching this summer

The latest list of rumoured LEGO Star Wars sets for 2022 includes yet another AT-ST, despite a Hoth version arriving only last month.

Promobricks claims that 75332 AT-ST will be a 4+ set, however, distinguishing itself from the more detailed 75322 Hoth AT-ST. Where that set includes 586 pieces for £44.99 / $49.99 / €49.99, the newer model will reportedly contain just 87 pieces for €29.99, which is a slightly higher price-per-piece ratio than previous 4+ sets.

Intended as a gateway between DUPLO and regular System builds, the 4+ line – which is a rebranded version of what used to be known as Juniors – has incorporated Star Wars for a few years now, with sets like 75268 Snowspeeder and 75297 Resistance X-wing delivering simple builds that use basic, large elements.

75332 AT-ST will presumably follow suit, which will allow it to sit on shelves alongside 75322 Hoth AT-ST by targeting completely different audiences. Promobricks also suggests that the new set is likely to be based on the walker from Return of the Jedi rather than The Empire Strikes Back, with Endor-related scenery to match.

LEGO Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order set and more rumoured for summer 2022
LEGO Star Wars Attack of the Clones anniversary sets rumoured for 2022

For most LEGO Star Wars fans, this may be the least interesting of all the sets rumoured for summer 2022 – but that’s also partly because the rest of them sound so enticing. Also on the list for August 1, when the new AT-ST is expected to arrive, are sets based on Attack of the Clones, The Bad Batch and Jedi: Fallen Order.

Remember that these are all just rumours for now, however, and should be treated lightly until we receive official confirmation from the LEGO Group.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
