Another wave of LEGO Super Mario sets might be on their way

LEGO Super Mario might have an extra life as an apparent new set list for the theme has been discovered online.

The LEGO Group and Nintendo saw a fruitful beginning to their partnership in 2020 as the LEGO Super Mario theme was launched with one wave and the 18+ 71734 Nintendo Entertainment System. This has continued into 2021 with a new range of expansion sets just launched and may even be stretching into the summer, if a new list of supposed sets is to be believed.

Just2good and Ashnflash both report on the set list, originally discovered on the website of Spanish retailer Libreriatilos. On the website, the product pages were not named as Super Mario sets but did include ‘NINTENDO’ under the collection category. Both YouTubers believe these to be a new range of Super Mario sets, but they should still be treated as rumours.

According to the rumoured set list, the summer wave of Super Mario may include 73187 with 280 pieces, 73188 with 281 pieces, 73189 with 484 pieces, 73190 at 862 pieces, 73191 with 1152 pieces, 73192 with 11 pieces, 73193 including 13 pieces and finally 73194 including 24 pieces.

With the price for 73189 being listed as €53.30 for just 231 pieces, both Just2good and Ashnflash believe this to be another starter set like 71360 Adventures with Mario Starter Course, which they speculate may include an electronic figure of Luigi instead of Mario.

While this potential list may be exciting, the sets are not confirmed to be LEGO Super Mario sets on the website, and this list isn’t officially confirmed. As such, these sets should be taken with a grain of salt as with all rumours until the LEGO Group makes an official announcement.
