Are these the prices for 2021’s LEGO Botanical Collection?

The prices for the upcoming LEGO Botanical Collection may have been revealed – and they’re cheaper than expected.

Brickset has listed prices for both 10280 Flower Bouquet and 10281 Bonsai Tree across GBP, USD and Euros. And given the 18+ sets have piece counts of 756 and 878 respectively, they’re actually not that expensive.

Yes, both sets will apparently retail for £44.99 / $49.99 / €49.99 when they launch in January 2021. That’s a very good price per piece ratio for 10280 Flower Bouquet, and even better for 10281 Bonsai Tree.

An online retailer first revealed images of both buildable plant models in late November. They’ve since appeared in the French LEGO consumer catalogue for the first half of 2021, confirming their January launch. But until now, their official retail price was a mystery.

If Brickset’s listings are correct, then, you may be able to grab either (or both) Botanical Collection models without breaking the bank. If they’re still beyond your price range for plastic plants, though, the LEGO Group will be bringing even cheaper alternatives to market in January in 40460 Roses and 40461 Tulips. You can find official images and all the details on those sets here.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then. You can follow me on Twitter at @brfa_chris.
