Back to the Future actor reportedly joins Star Wars: The Mandalorian

An actor in a leading role in the Back to the Future trilogy has been reported to be joining the cast of Star Wars: The Mandalorian’s third season.

Coincidentally just after the reveal of 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine, the Hollywood Reporter believes that Christopher Lloyd, who played Doc Brown in the Back to the Future movies as well as reprising his role in LEGO Dimensions, will feature in the next instalment of The Mandalorian.

Nothing is known about which character he might be portraying but they believe it to be that of a guest star, suggesting that it could be a noteworthy role or cameo in one episode.

The third season of Star Wars: The Mandalorian currently has no set release date, but has already been officially confirmed following the success of the first and second instalments of the show.

Even though Christopher Lloyd’s reported role is unlikely to be Doc Brown, this still presents a fun connection between a galaxy far, far away and Back to the Future days after 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine was revealed.

The next Star Wars streaming series to release is Obi-Wan Kenobi on May 25, including the return of the Jedi as well as the first live-action appearance of several Inquisitorius members.
