Create a mini beach scene at the August in-store LEGO build
The surf’s up at LEGO stores each Thursday in August as the free in-store build lets you take home a cool seaside scene.
If you happen to be passing a LEGO store on a Thursday in August this year, then you could pop in and build your own little piece of summer. The free in-store build, at participating stores, is a miniature beach scene that you can take home with you. The model is available on a first-come, first served basis though, so don’t hang about.
The scene, which appears to be six studs by eight, features a brick built wave, topped with white foam, crashing on to a beach as a crab scuttles away. The wave is also washing in a green surfboard, though there’s no sign of the surfer. Maybe a visit to the Build-A-Minifigure station would be wise before you left the store.
The build is available at participating stores on each Thursday in August, between 11am and 1pm. The terms and conditions are standard for this kind of offer, being one per person while stocks last, and on a first-come, first-served basis. Full details can be found on LEGO.com.
