Benny – Jedi in training

Benny finds himself in all manner of strange places, and now he has crash landed in a swamp on Dagobah…

In a crazy, mixed up world – like the kind you may find in LEGO Dimensions – Benny has crashed landed on Dagobah and has stumbled upon the reclusive Master Yoda. As he’s always up for a challenge, Yoda sets to work in training Benny in the ways of the Jedi, as Benny’s astromech droid looks on bemused…

LEGO Star Wars 75208 Yoda’s Hut set  was a very welcomed Father’s Day present. I opened the box, started building immediately and once it was complete I grabbed a 32×32 green baseplate and set to work on this build.

I took inspiration for the water effect from 70620 NINJAGO City using numerous 2×2 trans-blue tiles and plenty of plants, frogs and vegetation. I wanted to get a stark contrast of the Dagobah landscape and Yoda’s hut against Benny and the sunken Classic Space spaceship, which is barely visible. The colour contrast extends to the replacement of R2-D2 with a blue Astromech droid found only in 75159 Death Star set.

The hut itself is pretty much unchanged apart from some minor tweaks and the addition of smoke using ice-cream parts, which are a personal favourite.

So the question is, has Benny got what it takes to lift his spaceship triumphantly from the swamp?

Enjoy!
