Bentley LEGO Ideas project drives to 10,000 supporters
A Bentley build is the latest LEGO Ideas project to reach 10,000 supporters, passing it through to the review stage.
Another project has been added to the latest LEGO Ideas review stage, with a large vehicle build being the most recent fan-voted project to reach the coveted number of supports.
4½-Litre 1927-31 Bentley ‘Blower’ by Bencroot19 has now passed into the current stage of the LEGO Ideas review. The project proposes a model of a classic Bentley car that combines standard and Technic bricks.
The model has several features true to the actual car including an opening bonnet, working steering, and an engine crankshaft that rotates as the car is pushed along.
Most notably, the project proposes two new shades of green, one as a dark racing green used on the chassis and fuel tank and the other a lighter camouflage green used towards the rear of the build.
In an update, Bencroot19 explained that for creating the model, Bentley motors invited them to their crew headquarters to see the real-life equivalent, as well as taking a few photos.
The Bentley project joins eight others in the current round of the LEGO Ideas review. Here are all the builds in the most recent LEGO Ideas review stage.
