Big cat LEGO exhibition opens at Chester Zoo today

From today, visitors to Chester Zoo will be able to check out life-sized LEGO brick built big cats.

A LEGO exhibition featuring life-sized brick built big cats launches at Chester Zoo, Cheshire, UK today. Visitors to the attraction will be able to follow a trail that reveals a variety of big cat species, in addition to non-feline LEGO animals, with many models being showcased for the first time.

The exhibit will run until Tuesday, April 30. As well as the opportunity to enjoy the big cat LEGO displays, visitors will be able to build their own animal models and hear big cat facts from Zoo Rangers.

New permanent installations coming to Chester Zoo include a new Madagascar exhibit, that will be home to rare lemurs and mysterious fossas. A new lion enclosure is also set to open at the zoo later this year, which will be home to the zoo’s Asiatic lions.

The multi-million pound investment in new animal habitats is part of a major long-term plan to transform the zoo into spectacular zones, inspired by the global regions where the zoo’s conservationists work.
