Rumoured Boba Fett mech armor set is reportedly based on the original trilogy
The Boba Fett mech from the lineup of rumoured LEGO Star Wars mech armor sets will apparently be based on the original trilogy of
films rather than the + streaming series. The
mech armor sets crossing over into has been rumoured for some time now, and the first wave featuring Dath Vader, Boba Fett, and a Stormtrooper are reported to release in August of this year.In this latest rumour from Instagram user 1414falconfan (via reddit user FluffySky6) it appears that the mech armor sets have received a price increase once again, jumping up one dollar from $14.99 to $15.99 (at least in the US). It’s not clear yet if this change will also apply to the next wave of
mechs as well.Since his appearance in The Mandalorian season 2, Boba Fett has gone on to star in his own
+ series and has appeared in numerous sets. His ship, the Slave I, has been represented in form twice in the past two years, alongside a set based on his throne room.

Every Boba Fett minifigure released in these sets has been based on his updated post-Return of the Jedi design from the
+ series. So, it’s been a while since we’ve seen Boba’s classic look from the original trilogy of films in form. Thankfully, his upcoming mech armor set is reportedly based on this original version and will feature a minifigure.Any fans looking to add a classic Boba Fett to their minifigure collection – or anyone interested in a potential update to this minifigure – should keep their eyes open for any more updates on this wave of mech sets.
As usual with rumours like this, nothing is confirmed. Make sure to take everything with a grain of salt until you see some real pictures!
