Botanical garden leaves mark on first 2023 LEGO Ideas review

Expanding the natural world of LEGO Ideas, a botanical garden project has entered the first 2023 LEGO Ideas proposing a modular addition.

Coming from Goannas, The Botanical Garden project LEGO Ideas has hit 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas, passing it into the first 2023 review as the third project in the round and giving it a chance to become a future official set.

Made up of 2989 pieces and including eight minifigures, this Botanical Garden is designed to be accessible with removable sections that blend in with the look of the giant window-covered creation. Various botanical species are displayed inside including a banana tree, palm and many more. A spiral staircase using fence elements and droid arms takes minifigures to a second level too.

A pair of Technic connection points on the side and a pavement at the front of the building reveal that this project is intended as an expansion to the Modular Buildings Collection, adding more than a touch of foliage to a brick-built city.

While there have been many modular-compatible projects in past LEGO Ideas reviews, none have proved to be successful at becoming official sets so far.
