December 11 – Mining Guild TIE Fighter
Star Wars Rebels introduced us to a whole new world of starships. The Mining Guild TIE Fighter was used to protect the Asteroid Belt Gas Refinery. It has a unique shape and distinctive colour scheme to help it stand out from the Empire’s fleet of TIE Fighters.
The wings are made from 4×4 wedges with no studs on top. Inverted baby bows are clipped on to the long edges to make the front of the wings.
The body starts with a 1×2 SNOT brick, with 1×2 jumper plates stuck on 3 of the sides. The top of the brick has the TIE windscreen dish, which gets turned upright to become the front of the cockpit. 1×1 cones attach to either side, and the wings connect into these. A round stud with hole sticks into the back of the brick to become the engine.
