Brickish Bake Off at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort

The Great British Bake Off has been re-created by the Model Making team at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, ready for the contest’s return to TV in August. The popular Miniland area of the theme park saw a LEGO model of Bake Off’s set added to the display, using 12,186 bricks for the recreation.

Here are more details from the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort:

The Bake Off scene took the Resort’s talented Model Making team 86 hours to build and includes the main Great British Bake Off tent plus the judging tent, 11cm high LEGO recreations of comical presenting duo Mel and Sue, judges Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry, and all previous winners. The team has paid close attention to detail and inside the tent are LEGO workstations, judging table and culinary gizmos galore.

“The Great British Bake Off has become such a British institution, so we wanted to celebrate the summer and bring it to life in Miniland,” commented PR Manager Lauren Moss. “This morning to celebrate the opening, we have put REAL miniature recreations of past showstoppers on display commissioned by the astonishingly talented culinary outfit, The Tattooed Bakers. It is amazing how much detail has been captured at 6cm high. Guests will be able to see our Model Makers mini LEGO versions of the cakes, we will also be adding the series 7 contestants to the scene, when they’re announced, and will be removing contestants every week to mirror the results of the competition.”
