Brisbane Airport looking for LEGO artist

Brisbane Airport wants the airport’s next resident artist to be proficient with the LEGO brick. Airport heads are looking to fill the regular position specifically with someone who can create impressive LEGO art.

So far the position has been held by painter Robert Brownhall and the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. Quest Community Newspapers spoke to Chief Executive Julieanne Alroe about the new post.

“This time we thought we’d venture outside the box of traditional art and performance and into a space that most of us have dabbled in at some stage in our life, but with a view of taking it to new heights,” Ms Alroe said.

Fans have until June 15 to get in an application if they want to show international travellers just what they can do with the brick.
