Time is running out to buy LEGO sets before prices increase

It’s your last chance to finish off those wish lists before the upcoming LEGO price rises take effect as there are just hours left before costs increase.

As of tomorrow, August 1, the next wave of LEGO sets launches on the official online store and around a quarter of the current portfolio will increase in price. That means today, July 31, 2022, is the last day to get any remaining models before their prices potentially go up. Note that from August 1, this only affects the Americas and the Asia-Pacific region.

We don’t yet have a confirmed list of models that will be affected by this, so can’t recommend any specific builds that you should buy before the end of the day. Despite that, more expensive sets are likely to increase in price the most so it might be wise to prioritise creations like 10302 Optimus Prime, 75313 AT-AT and 71040 The Disney Castle.

Not every region will see these price rises take effect tomorrow as Europe and the Middle East will see this change on September 1. It will still be useful for those outside the US and the Asia-Pacific region though as it will be our first look at exactly what models have risen in cost.

That should give us a guide on what to purchase before September 1, though it might be smart to get any must-have sets while you can, especially in the UK and Europe as you can get 40529 Children’s Amusement Park until the end of the day with orders of £90 / €90 or more.
