Chronicle Books reveals new LEGO Classic Space and mystery puzzles

Chronicle Books has revealed a pair of new LEGO puzzles for the space-loving builder in your life and fans of minifigures and mystery.

The first of these new jigsaws is named Space Stars and, in case it wasn’t clear by the name, it’s based on the intergalactic theme of colourful astronauts that builders have come to lovingly name Classic Space. At 1,000 pieces, it’s by far the largest of the two newly revealed puzzles.

In the foreground are eight minifigures spanning almost every colour of the rainbow and beyond, each adorned with their simple and iconic smile. Soaring at the back of them are two ships that will no doubt be recognisable to builders with a love of Classic Space – 497 Galaxy Explorer and 6980 Galaxy Commander.

The second puzzle in this new pair is a lot smaller at just 126 pieces, but there’s a very good reason for that. Looking at the box art, it’s clear to see that this is no regular jigsaw unless it has a very unique design. The twist with it is that one of six minifigures will be the design inside, and you won’t know which one you’ve got until you’ve got a good way into building it.

This blind-boxed jigsaw has some fan-favourite minifigures as options inside such as Flower Pot Girl, Hot Dog Man, Unicorn Girl, and Shark Suit Guy. However, there are two others that are as of yet unrevealed that you might be able to unbox.

You can expect to find the new puzzles on shelves and online when they launch. Space Stars will be available on November 2 whilst the Mystery Minifigure puzzles will release on September 14.
