Date for the upcoming LEGO price increases confirmed

The exact date for when the upcoming LEGO price increases will come into effect and where has been officially confirmed by the LEGO Group.

From August 1, 2022, not only will plenty of new LEGO sets launch including the likes of 10304 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 and 10305 Lion Knights’ Castle, but around a quarter of the current portfolio will increase in price. However, these price changes will arrive slightly later on September 1 in select regions.

In the Americas and the Asia-Pacific region, the price increase will go into effect on August 1, 2022. In Europe and the Middle East, the change will happen on September 1 as has now been confirmed by the LEGO Group on the LEGO Ambassador Network.

As for what sets will be affected, most of the adult-focused models which have been announced since June have already had their prices adjusted, something that we may have spotted with the upcoming Chevrolet and Bowser builds. Whether this will include builds that are currently available for pre-order has not been clarified, but we’ll likely know more in a couple of weeks.

It’s also indicated that the reported price list that emerged via Barnes & Noble is accurate, though this should still be treated with some caution as it still has not been definitively confirmed at the time of writing.

There are still some details that have yet to be announced regarding these price changes but knowing what date they will come into effect is undoubtedly a good start. Considering that a double VIP points event is currently live, it might be a good opportunity to catch up on your wishlist just in case any of your preferred sets will be affected.

As a reminder, the price changes will arrive in the Americas and the Asia-Pacific region on August 1 and Europe and the Middle East on September 1.
