Grand Theft Auto VI in LEGO ist das Spiel, das wir nie bekommen werden – aber es sieht unglaublich aus
The teen animator behind Across the Spider-Verse’s LEGO universe has recreated the latest Grand Theft Auto VI trailer in bricks, and it’s an incredible glimpse at the LEGO game we’ll never get.
If there’s one IP from which the LEGO Group will forever stay very far away, it’s Grand Theft Auto. Not one iota of this series is remotely family-friendly, and even while some franchises push the envelope for what you’d expect to see in LEGO Ziegel - Stranger Things, Jaws and so on – GTA goes well beyond those. But we can at least get a taste of what the next instalment might look like in LEGO thanks to Preston Mutanga.
Auch bekannt als LegoMe_TheOG on YouTube, the teen animator – who’s previously recreated a scene from Deadpool and Wolverine in LEGO, and even worked on Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’s LEGO universe – has expertly reassembled every frame of Grand Theft Auto VI’s second trailer in LEGO elements. The video debuted 10 hours ago and has racked up nearly 17,000 views at the time of writing.
That’s still far too few for a project this ambitious, though. The attention to detail from the very first sequence is insane, with tiny beads of sweat glistening on protagonist Jason’s torso, while the wide shots reveal an entire world constructed from LEGO bricks. The animation style is reminiscent of that in The LEGO Movie, blending a stop-motion aesthetic with CGI.
As much as this trailer has us wishing we could play GTA VI right now, let alone GTA VI in LEGO, it’s also giving us an itch to get building in real life, too. Every location, vehicle and character in the trailer would make for a perfect addition to any bustling LEGO Stadt, even if most of them would never find their way on to official LEGO Laden shelves (we’re probably not getting a bar or strip club any time soon).

And yes, this one-for-one recreation is subsequently still just as heavy on butt shots as the real thing. Grand Theft Auto VI debuts on May 26, 2026, while LEGO Grand Theft Auto VI will forever remain the stuff of dreams (or YouTube videos).
