Vier LEGO Toothless-Fan-Bauwerke zeigen, wo die Erwartungen hinter der Realität zurückbleiben

LEGO community reactions to LEGO Icons 10375 Ohnezahn have been mixed, to say the least, with some fan-designed Bauwerke lying closer to expectations.

Bei 10375 Ohnezahn being long since rumoured, fans have had a long time to speculate on what it could be. The LEGO Group has released a number of realistic buildable characters, particularly within LEGO Disney und many people are disappointed dass das LEGO Icons set isn’t designed in the same style as 43269 101 Dalmatiner or 43272 Heihei, as just two examples.

However, if you had your heart set on a more authentic version of Toothless to his on-screen look, you might want to turn to the LEGO community. There are a number of impressive designs that capture a more realistic version of the beloved dragon.

brickstormstudios’ Toothless (Minifigure Scale)

FIrst up is from brickstormstudios, with a version of Toothless made up of 226 pieces, which you can order from BrickLink. The model takes a minimalistic approach, but delivers on a minifigure-scale version of the dragon, complete with green eyes and his trusty DIY red fin for his tail.

Lucid Bricks’ Toothless

Beefing up a bit to 699 pieces, Lucid Bricks leaned into a more display-focused build, including a stand covered in flowers for Toothless to stand on. The flower-loving dragon has larger wins and more defined tail fins, keeping closer to his on-screen proportions with some clever layering of tiles to recreate his scales.

PaulvilleMOCs’ Toothless

PaulvilleMOCs‘ entry on this list also includes Hiccup, not as a minifigure but as a brick-built character. He can ride on Toothless, who comes with a saddle on his back. With a posable head, ears, legs, wings, and tail, there’s a lot you can do in both play and display with this custom design, made up of just 183 bricks.

akibricks’ Toothless

akibricks has made a version of Toothless based on 31161 Mittelalterlicher Drache, but obviously adapted to fit the unique How To Train Your Dragon aesthetic. With a minifigure version of Hiccup – who can hop up and ride the brick-built dragon – there’s a lot of posability throughout the dragon’s wings, legs, and head for extra possibilities once the build is done.
