If you’re bemoaning the fact that you don’t want to shell out triple figures for 71847 Der Wächterdrache, there are some much more affordable but equally impressive options in the form of 71842 Rontu der Meisterdrache and 71843 Rogue’s Mech Dragon Rider.

Although admittedly 76458 Thestral-Familie seems a little overpriced for its 548 pieces, the magical creatures are wonderfully recreated here. The LEGO Harry Potter designes have managed to make skeleton horses cute again, an admirable feat – and one that pays off beautifully.
