LEGO Icons 10352 Die Simpsons: Krusty Burger im Vergleich
A decade after the last LEGO The Simpsons set, LEGO Icons 10352 Die Simpsons: Krusty Burger doesn’t compare to the other sets too favourably.
LEGO The Simpsons is back after 10 years since the last release based on the beloved animated series. 10352 Die Simpsons: Krusty Burger will be released on June 1 for LEGO Insiders or June 4 widely for £179.99 / $209.99 / €199.99.
It follows 71006 The Simpsons House from 2014 for £189.99 / $199.99 / €199.99 and 2015’s 71016 The Kwik-E-Mart for £179.99 / $199.99 / €199.99. Both of those previous models topped at least 2,100 pieces, while 10352 Die Simpsons: Krusty Burger has just 1,635. This creates an interesting point of comparison between the three models and thankfully, just2good has the trio in hand to see how they stack up next to one another.
Nicht überraschend, 10352 Die Simpsons: Krusty Burger is by far the smallest of the sets with that piece count. It looks somewhat out of place next to 71016 Kwik-E-Mart as a building that’s meant to be the same size. There is a 10-year gap between the release of these two sets, but it’s probably going to be something for collectors to remedy after the new set has launched.
Just2good raises the point that 10352 Die Simpsons: Krusty Burger has three new custom moulded heads for characters not in any other LEGO The Simpsons set, though the model is still undeniably small compared to the other two models.
As explored a few days ago by another fan, the box of 10352 Die Simpsons: Krusty Burger is considerably less stylised, aligning with the design of other LEGO Icons sets, rather than the animated artwork present in previous The Simpsons Bauwerke. Seeing them next to each other helps to show just how different the box art is between the sets and years they released in.
While there are comparisons to be made, the reality is that newer enthusiasts probably won’t have the two other LEGO The Simpsons sets from a decade ago, and they fetch high prices on the secondary market.
