Every LEGO Star Wars set launching in March 2021

Three more LEGO Star Wars sets have just launched at LEGO.com, including a fresh take on the Imperial Shuttle and a surprisingly delightful pair of Microfighters.

75298 AT-AT vs Tauntaun Microfighters seems like a match made in hell, with Hoth’s snow lizard surely doomed to die at the laser cannons of the Empire’s mechanical beast. But in the world of LEGO Star Wars Microfighters, anything can happen – and as you can read in our review, this is a set that truly comes up fighting.

It’s not the only brand new addition to the LEGO Star Wars theme, which – like several other ranges in 2021 – has had its winter wave split across January and March. Four sets landed at the turn of the year (including 75299 Trouble on Tatooine and 75300 Imperial TIE Fighter), but this latest wave broadens the theme’s scope to include the sequel trilogy in 75298 Resistance X-wing.

That 4+ set may hew a little too closely to the last Juniors-style X-wing, but you might still find it worthwhile for its Poe Dameron and BB-8 minifigures. Probably higher on your list, though, is 75302 Imperial Shuttle.

It’s the first official minifigure-scale rendition of the stark white ship since 2015’s 75094 Imperial Shuttle Tydirium, and apes 75301 Luke Skywalker’s X-wing Fighter in scaling back a classic Star Wars vehicle to offer it at a more accessible price. I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
