Exclusive The LEGO Movie 2 minifigure at San Diego Comic Con

The first minifigure from The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part will be given away at San Diego Comic Con 2018.

As San Diego Comic Con approached, the LEGO Group has been revealing the exclusive sets that lucky attendees may be able to acquire. The Brick Fan has discovered that three exclusive minifigures will be given away during the event, including one based on The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. The other two minifigures will be based on DC and Marvel, as is now tradition at the event.

San Diego Comic Con exclusive minifigures are usually packed with a backing card and plastic blister case, much like an action figure. The edition size varies, but is typically just a few thousand, making them very desirable for LEGO collectors. To be in with a chance of getting the minifigures, fans need to be attending the event, register for a timeslot online, then enter the draw on-site to see if they will be awarded a minifigure.

The first trailer was recently released for the sequel to the 2014 hit The LEGO Movie, giving fans a first look at what is in store next for Emmet and his crew.

San Diego Comic Con runs from July 19 to 22. The LEGO Movie 2: the Second Part will be released in February 2019.
